Top-line security for a national estate

Salisbury has worked with Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC) since 2013. HMRC is the non-ministerial department of the UK government responsible for the collection of taxes, the payment of some forms of state support and the administration of other regulatory regimes including the National Living Wage. We provide a total FM contract that incorporates a number of facilities services, including engineering maintenance, cleaning and a national helpdesk.

A key component of the contract is the provision of a professional security solution. HMRC has over 300 buildings on a national basis, which house more than 50,000 employees. The government department requires a holistic security service that mitigates threats and provides for the safety of people and premises. Within the varied portfolio of buildings there are also a number of special circumstances, such as providing services with listed status buildings.

Our Salisbury Security Services team looks after the safety of employees and visitors who are present on site each day. Most are UK government members of staff who play an important role in the functioning of government administration. Our service includes manned guarding, CCTV control and maintenance, vehicle control and car park management.

In addition, we also contribute towards the functional management of main sites through duties such as conference organisation and administration, first response medical assistance, hire car management and switchboard operation.

Security comes with customer service

We believe in our security officers providing a welcoming environment as well as a safe one. To do so, we train each officer in a WorldHost-accredited course to ensure that great customer service becomes a key part of our officers’ daily duties. In turn, this has built better relationships on site and supported the effectiveness of our security risk mitigation strategies.
